Membership Eligibility Any person of legal majority of good moral character and reputation in their community is eligible for Lions membership. Lions club membership is by invitation only. When inviting members, use the Membership Application on the LCI website and submit to the club membership chairperson or secretary, who, after investigation by the membership committee submits to the board of directors for approval.

Types of Members

Every club needs members in order to achieve its service goals. That’s why LCI offers several ways to become a Lion and serve. • Regular Member Regular membership is for people interested in volunteer programs, community service and making our world a better place. Saraland Lions Club – Regular Member total dues are $65 per quarter or $260 per year. • Affiliate Member Affiliate membership allows members to still a full lion, even I you are unable to attend meetings regularly. You just have to pay separately for your meals ($10.00) when you do come to a meeting. You can do anything except be on our Official Board/Vote. You can help with any activity we do as a Lion Club. Saraland Lions Club – Affiliate Member total dues are $25 per quarter or $100 per year. •Family Member The Family Membership Program provides families with the opportunity to receive a special dues discount when they join the same Lions club together. The first family member (head of household) pays full dues and up to four additional family members pay at Family Rate. All family members pay the one-time entrance fee (US$35). The program is open to family members who are (1) eligible for Lions membership,(2) currently in or joining the same club, and (3) living in the same household and related by birth, marriage or other legal relationship. Saraland Lions Club – Family Member total dues are $39 per quarter or $156 per year. *Dues amounts are current as of 9/2022.
